With its chic ambiance, delectable dishes, and impeccable service, Roti Chai has carved a niche for itself as a must-visit dining destination for those seeking a blend of modernity and authenticity.

Upon entering Roti Chai, the first thing that catches your attention is the modern, yet cozy atmosphere. The interior design incorporates both traditional Indian elements and contemporary London style. It’s a perfect setting for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing meal, whether alone or with a group. The restaurant is divided into two sections: the Street Kitchen and the Dining Room. The Street Kitchen offers a casual, vibrant vibe with an open kitchen concept, while the Dining Room provides a more intimate setting for those looking to enjoy a sit-down experience.

The menu at Roti Chai is a perfect reflection of India’s diverse culinary heritage, offering a range of dishes that celebrate the rich flavors and spices of the subcontinent. The food at Roti Chai is not just about satisfying your hunger; it’s about experiencing a journey through Indian flavors and textures.

One of the standout dishes at Roti Chai is the signature roti. The restaurant’s namesake, this delicious flatbread is the perfect complement to almost any dish on the menu. Soft and warm, it’s ideal for scooping up the restaurant's rich and flavorful curries. Speaking of curries, the butter chicken at Roti Chai is a crowd favorite. Its creamy, rich sauce and tender chicken make for an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more fiery, the lamb rogan josh is a must-try, with its deep, spicy flavors that showcase the complexity of Indian curry-making.

The Street Kitchen menu offers a range of small plates that make for an exciting culinary exploration. Try the pav bhaji, a savory vegetable mash served with buttered bread rolls, or the aloo tikki for a lighter, yet equally satisfying choice. These dishes are perfect for those who want to sample a variety of flavors in one sitting. For a more substantial meal, the grilled paneer is a great vegetarian option, with its crispy exterior and soft, flavorful interior.

What makes Roti Chai truly stand out from other restaurants is its commitment to authenticity and quality. • I visited this place for the first time with my friends and I have to say it is worth it and food is sooo delicious. One of my friend is not into spicy food and she was afraid to come here but in the end while leaving she said she love the food. All the dishes are sooo good felt soo smooth and lite, not at all spicy but only a blast of taste. If anyone is looking for some good Indian food with options of street food this is the best place to go. Worth the visit.

  • Lovely cosy restaurant with loads of vegetarian options. We walked in without a reservation and still managed to get a table in their “Street Kitchen” area upstairs. We ordered the papri chaat, malai paneer, tandoori garlic naan and market sabz biriyani - all of the dishes were delicious and very flavourful, but we especially liked the papri chaat. Overall, portions were satisfying and good value for money. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend, especially if you’re looking for good vegetarian Indian food.

  • The food was really good - the fish curry (mains), prawns (starter), and chaat. The chaat was unique as they included fried spinach. The prawns were charred well and had a really flavourful masala with a nice contrast coconut. The fish was really soft, and marinated well with a light spice while the gravy was good

  • Had a lovely time here for dinner (tried their Diwali menu which was such a great deal) - our waiter Zafar was very kind and helpful (particularly grateful for his off-the-menu mango colada, which should be on the menu ASAP!) highly recommend for a good meal and night out :))

  • Tasty Indian food in a nice atmosphere, friendly and fast service. Love the place and food. Small dishes but plenty at the same time with amazing flavours. We were on the ground floor for lunch, dinner is in the basement. It’s isn’t a budget place but you pay for the food, service and location.

  • I’ve visited this restaurant many times, and it’s always my go-to spot for quick Indian food, especially the street food upstairs. On my last visit, I tried the fine dining area downstairs, and it was just as enjoyable, with slightly bigger portions. The photos I’ve shared are from both upstairs and downstairs, showing different menus, and both experiences were excellent. I love this restaurant its always accommodating Vegetarian dish was so good Awadhi lamb was so soft Steamed rice Rita Chana masala

  • Happened upon this place when looking for a not-too-heavy lunch. Smelled amazing from outside, and we were not disappointed. As vegetarians, we had lots of options - choosing pani puri, malai paneer, sabz biryani, tarka daal, and portions of naan and roti to share between two. All truly delicious, with great service. Highly recommend.
